Social Psychology
The doctoral program in Social Psychology emphasizes the development of conceptual and methodological skills needed to conduct research, to apply social psychology to the solution of social problems, and to teach the subject matter of social psychology at the university level. The Program also offers a concentration in the Psychology of Peace and Violence in combination with basic training in Social Psychology. Throughout their graduate careers, students work intensively with faculty, participating in research ranging from the laboratory to the field, with opportunities to explore both basic and applied issues.
