Individual differences in audiovisual speech perception

We are looking for young (18-30) and older adults (65-80). In this study you will be asked to listen to and/or watch a speaker talk and for some parts of the study your brainwaves (EEG) will be recorded. You will also be asked to complete a series of behavioral tasks testing your speech perception and related abilities

Two sessions (within 2 weeks). First session: 2.5 hrs; Second
session: 1.5 hrs

$5/half hour (prorated to the nearest quarter of an hour)

The Growth in Early Marriage Project (GEM)

The purpose of this study is to learn more about how newlywed couples grow and adjust over time and how these processes might be related to health.Participation in the project involves three visits to UMass over the time span of a few years.
Each visit involves the couple filling out questionnaires about their relationship, health and life experiences; participating in two discussions with each other and giving some samples of saliva to help us learn more about health related responses.

Sessions last about 3 hours and are scheduled in the late afternoon or early evening
|
Couples who complete all three sessions receive a total compensaion of $450. ($100 for the first session, $140 for the second and $160 for the final visit with a bonus of $50 for completing all three).

Sleep Dependent Consolidation of Emotional Memories
